Communication has always been important to me and, perhaps because of my background in teaching and education, together with my love of writing, I used to think that my main way of communicating and sharing would always be through words. But, at a certain point, I discovered the joy of communicating through other forms of artistic and creative expression too, such as drawing and painting.

My expression through Art did not begin as a planned project. It emerged naturally, almost as a need — a form of expression that found me along the way:

Creating to know myself. Creating to express myself. Creating to transform. Creating to give shape to what lives within.

Over time, I began to realise that, through Art, I was able to reconnect with a part of myself that may have been forgotten for too long. A more spontaneous part. More intuitive. More willing to experiment without needing to know in advance where I was going to arrive.

For a long time, many of these creations were mostly mine. They were part of my own process and lived quietly inside drawers. But little by little, I began to feel that something was missing if this whole creative journey was to have a deeper meaning. And there is a sentence I wrote many years ago that expresses this beautifully:

“If creating is a way of communicating, then it also needed to be shared.”

And what if what helped me express myself could also inspire someone else?
